Agree whole-heartedly about keeping personal stuff personal! I tend to “unfollow” those who share lots of personal stuff as it is my PLN (professional learning network).

It’s unfortunate. We see it on the news all the time. It seems that doom and gloom makes good news because it excites people in some way. I think the human condition of never being satisfied and wanting continual change is more easily satisfied by perceived problems we can solve than stories that make us feel good.

From your #acec08 tweets I gathered that you were similarly dismayed as I was with ACEC Keynote 2. ’twas truly stunning for all the wrong reasons. I’ve also reflected on my blog on a couple of other aspects of the conference too, maybe you might like to see if you concur as it is always interesting to have other’s points of view on “shared” experiences.
